Very thin panels today, thanks to big fat panels yesterday.

 In my efforts to not be a jerk and keep things "all ages" and inoffensive, I dropped the final balloon from that last panel Just In Case, but if you were wondering, it was the lady tutting and saying "don't be racist," which was the worst thing in there so I'm probably doing okay.

Happy fun time in Cookstown as the bangers and firecrackers begin their seasonal barrage that'll last for the next few months. Gotta love marching season.
Finished off talky heads page. It suddenly occurred that if I could stay away from looking at pictures of illiterate cats on the internet or going off and playing videogames for all of five minutes, such a page only takes a few hours to run off, rather than half one day, half when next I can be bothered.
Watching: Daria, Royal Pains, Secret Life of the American Teenager, Harper's Island - called the killer after all.

Day off work today, so I caught up with some potential submission material. Now we're into the early evening and it's time for gym, shower, lots of gaming and then a vague notion of actually finishing up work I've promised to other people.
Kidding - that shit's gettin' done, yo.

Playing: Sudoku (thus far)

The slow march of progress...

Lazy day today. Not much done in terms of creative output, as for some reason I ended up finishing off the colouring on some pages from Turbo Katie, a deliberately generic superhero comic I took to drawing a year or so back to keep myself amused while I learned to draw worth a damn. There are some clumsy layouts and poor inking in evidence, but I suppose you at least know what you're looking at and can tell the characters apart.

The art is variable from page to page, but it's good to see progression from then to now - I seriously didn't have a clue starting out how to write or draw a comic, but I'm slowly getting there with practice. My ethnic characters, at least, are finally looking less like racist caricatures, and to my mind that's a pretty big deal.
